SAFARON Plus Injection
SAFARON Plus Injection is a veterinary antibiotic primarily containing Ceftriaxone and Sulbactam. It is used for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections in cattle. This combination provides broad-spectrum antibacterial activity and may be useful against certain bacteria that produce beta-lactamase enzymes, which can reduce the effectiveness of some beta-lactam antibiotics.
Main Uses in Cattle
- Bovine Respiratory Disease (BRD): May be prescribed for susceptible bacterial respiratory infections, including pneumonia.
- Mastitis: Used for the treatment of certain bacterial infections associated with mastitis.
- Foot Rot: May be used for susceptible bacterial infections affecting the hoof and surrounding tissues.
- Metritis: May be prescribed for certain bacterial infections of the uterus, particularly after calving.
- Other Bacterial Infections: May be used for susceptible infections involving the skin, soft tissues, and other body systems.
Dosage and Treatment
The dose, frequency, route of administration, and duration of treatment should be determined by a qualified veterinarian based on the animal’s condition, body weight, type of infection, and severity of disease.
